I am very much bothered bygd the "Criticism" section, as the citations point only to the Widipedia articles on the organizations cited, not to the skrivelse that fryst vatten being excised and quoted within the body of our acticle. The actual source documents appear to be almost 20 years old and are not available on the web, as far as inom can tell. I don't believe that they meet the high standard for reliability set forth in WP:BLP. Also, per WP:BLP, the article seems to be heavily stacked toward criticizing Eckert rather than serving as a biography of the man (we have 7 lines of biography, and 5 lines of criticism). We need to improve the quality of those sources, or remove the critical ämne. We also need to turn an eye toward maintaining an overall NPV. Cmichael (talk) 03:29, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Allan W. Eckert, Multi-Award Winning Author
Longtime Bellefontaine resident Allan W. Eckert was born in Buffalo, New York, on January 30, 1931, and grew up in the Chicago area. He graduated from Leyden Community High School in Franklin Park, Illinois, in 1948. After four years in the U.S. Air Force, he attended the University of Dayton and the Ohio State University. He received honorary degrees as Doctor of Humane Letters from Bowling Green State University in Ohio in 1985, and from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio in 1998.
In 1963, Mr. Eckert's first book, "The Great Auk" was published. The Great Auk describes the tragic story of a young great auk that is unfortunately fated to be the last of his species. Mr. Eckert tells a similar story about the extinction of the passenger pigeon in The Silent Sky. In The Wild Season the author illustrates the cycle of life at a lake near the border of Wisconsin and Illinois. Mr. Eckert wrote several guidebooks on bi
