Wafula Wamunyinyi's Car Involved in Accident Along Kanduyi-Sikata Road
A car belonging to a CORD Member of Parliament (MP) was on Thursday involved in a tragic road accident leading to the death of one along Kanduyi-Sikata road.
The incident occurred after the vehicle reportedly belonging to Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi lost control while ferrying mourners to a funeral ceremony.
The driver allegedly tried to overtake another car when he met an oncoming motorcycle. In an attempt to avoid hitting the motorcycle, the vehicle lost control landing into a ditch.
One occupant of the vehicle is said to have lost her life while several others sustained injuries and were rushed to Bungoma Hospital.
The car, which was reportedly carrying the MP's relatives was badly damaged especially on the rear part.
Meanwhile, one person was on Thursday killed in a tragic accident involving five vehicles at Salgaa along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway.
