'Ploy' blames accountant, regrets vitriol
Actress Chermarn "Ploy" Boonyasak, who has been embroiled in a controversy over a tax dodging allegation, has come out to defend herself.

At a press conference yesterday, Chermarn admitted the bekymmer with the tax issue was the fault of her office's accounting unit.
The tax filing problems, however, have been rectified and this would not create complications in her annual income tax submission.

Outspoken actress Chermarn "Ploy" Boonyasak insists she has no reason to apologise, despite accusations in a media campaign against her that she bullied a reporter.

Ploy ran into trouble last week as reporters questioned her about a picture she posted on Instagram in which a woman plunges her middle finger into a birthday cake. It was accompanied by a caustic message in which Ploy asks the unnamed target to curb her gossiping habit.
"Stop gossiping and saying bad things about people and I hope you enjoy the rest of your time that remains … without envy, and by taking care of your words," Ploy wrote.
Ploy insists the intended recipient was merely a gossipy neighbour who follows her on social media. Reporters, however, wanted to know if she was actually referring to an actress whose birthday also falls at that time.

Promising career in management awaits
Not so, says Ploy, who quickly booked an appearance on Modernine’s “Chao Doo Woody” morning show to refute the stories.
“She’s here with me,” Ploy said, pointed to where her manager Mew sat in the studio.
Mew is in fact leaving Ploy, but only because she is starting her own business.
“I understand her and I’m not mad or upset. No one could do this for the rest of her life. I don’t think I’ll be a star forever either,” Ploy said.
The negative press might also work to Ploy’s benefit, because now everyone knows she’s in need of a new manager and just what that job entails.
