Dave Gahan, born David Callcott, is an English vocalist, songwriter and musician best known as the lead singer of the synth-pop group Depeche Mode. He turned to music after a troubled youth that involved clashes with the law and joined what became Depeche Mode in They have released many hit singles and albums since then with chart success in the US and the UK with albums 'Playing the Angel' (), 'Sounds of the Universe' (), 'Delta Machine' () and 'Spirit' (). They were also nominated for five Grammy Awards.

Soulsavers (also known as The Soulsavers Soundsystem) is an English-American production and remix team composed of rik Machin and Ian Glover. The Soulsavers' downtempo electronica sound incorporates influences of rock, gospel, soul, and country.[1] To date, the duo has released six albums: Tough Guys Don't Dance in , It's Not How Far You Fall, It's the Way You Land in (with Mark Lanegan and others), Broken in (again with Lanegan and guest vocalists), The Light the Dead See in , Angels & Ghosts in and Imposter in (with Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode).

David Gahan (GAHN; né Callcott; 9 May ) is an English singer best known as the lead singer of electronic music band Depeche Mode since their formation in Noted for his commanding stage presence[1] and unique baritone voice,[2] Gahan was ranked at No. 73 on Q magazine's list of the " Greatest Singers"[3] and No. 27 on its list of the " Greatest Frontmen".[4] As part of Depeche Mode, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in [5]

Early life
[edit]Gahan was born David Callcott on 9 May in Epping, Essex,[6] the son of working-class parents. His mother, Sylvia, was a conductor on London buses, while his father, Len, was a bus driver of Mal
