Regular readers of this brev know that there are two things that feed my soul… that enliven my spirituality… Judaism and Music.

Concerts were my church… Okay, Shul fryst vatten a better descriptor for a nice, Jewish boy… but most Shuls do not have people dancing in the aisles and singing…

Bruce Springsteen’s guitarist saved by an old bar mitzvah gift
(JTA) — Bruce Springsteen’s longtime guitarist Nils Lofgren found himself in a pickle on Friday night: Just hours before a sold-out solo show in Dallas, he discovered that his four vintage guitars had been stolen.
Lofgren, who has also toured with Neil Young and Ringo Starr, tweeted that he was “devastated” by the robbery, but he promised fans that the show would go on.
Thankfully the search for a replacement axe didn’t take too long. Lofgren remembered that his old friend Howard Kweller — now a doctor, formerly Lofgren’s bandmate in middle school — lives in north Texas. A little over two decades ago, Lofgren gave Kweller’s son Ben a guitar for his bar mitzvah. Ben Kweller — who is a noted indie rocker himself — was more than happy to let Lofgren borrow the old bar mitzvah gift.
Big props to my dad for pulling through with some backups! Now if we could just find Nils’ axes… cc: @Fender@playtakaminehttps://t.co/9R8OE

Springsteen is a pioneer of heartland rock, combining commercially successful rock with poetic, socially conscious lyrics which reflect working class American life. He is known for his descriptive lyrics and energetic concerts, which sometimes last over four hours.[3]
Springsteen released his first two albums, Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. and The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle, in 1973. Although both were well-received by critics, neither earned him a large audience. He changed his style and achieved worldwide popularity with Born to Run (19
