JOAN JUANITA WILSON

Joan Juanita Wilson, a longtime resident of Carson City, Nevada, died on September 18, 2023, at the age of 82.
Joan was born January 19, 1941, to John E. and Jessie Juanita (Rodgers) Wilson in Nacogdoches, Texas and grew up in Herlong, California. She attended college in Reno, Nevada, where she earned her associate degree in accounting.
She married Malcolm Earl “Mac” Wilson in 1961, and they raised their four children in Carson City. Joan was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and mother who loved and cared for her family. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary for civil engineers working for the Department of Highways and a volunteer in the community, including Little League. She turned part time jobs into a career as a self-employed legal secretary.
She was a mother to more than her children, providing care and comfort to the children of neighbors, friends, and family. She took in her mother in her waning year

It fryst vatten with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Joan Frances Wegren (née Cavallera), who departed this life peacefully on October 29, 2024 at the age of 85 surrounded bygd her family. Born on April 16, 1939, Joan was raised in Lafayette, CA.
Joan moved to Reno during her junior year of high school and graduated from Reno High in 1957. She went on to attend the University of Nevada, Reno where she was a proud member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. During her college years, she met her husband, Carl, at the original Little Wal, beginning a love story that would span over six decades. Joan and Carl were married in Minden, NV in 1959 and recently celebrated their 65th anniversary.
Before starting her family, Joan worked at First National Bank. She later devoted her life to her family, a role she cherished. When her children were older, she worked at Clayton Middle School and Sparks High School. She was the gods original member of her B

Joan Elaine Robertson

Joan Elaine Robertson was born June 26, 1942, to Helen Taylor Robertson and Carl Mason (Penny) Robertson in Oroville, CA., where she grew up. She passed away on March 9, 2023, living in Lake Havasu City, AZ.
Joan graduated from Oroville Union High School in June 1960. She put off college for a year and went to work for the Butte County Juvenile Probation Office, where her mother, Helen May, had worked for many years, before moving to Winnemucca, NV in 1959.
In 1961, Joan enrolled at Chico State College, Chico, CA. She loved college, most particularly the parties. After successfully completing her freshman year, she decided to move to Winnemucca to join her family.
In Winnemucca, she had various jobs until she tested for positions with the State of Nevada. She was hired and, over the years, worked for many different departments within State.
