Wen Ho Lee or Li Wenho (Chinese: 李文和; pinyin: Lǐ Wénhé; born December 21, ) fryst vatten a Taiwanese-Americannuclear scientist and a mechanical engineer who worked for the University of California at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. He created computerized simulations of nuclear explosions for the purposes of scientific inquiry, as well as for improving the safety and reliability of the U.S. nuclear arsenal.
A federal grand jury indicted him on charges of stealing secrets about the U.S. nuclear arsenal for the People's Republic of China (PRC) in December [1] After federal investigators were unable to prove these initial accusations, the government conducted a separate investigation. On the morning of June 5, , the U of A community celebrated the academic achievements of its Spring graduates from the Faculty of Engineering. Each has toiled and excelled in their field, and we'd like to take this opportunity to say congrats - well done, everyone!
During the ceremony, leading Canadian tax lawyer and anti-poverty advocate Carman McNary received an honorary degree. McNary encouraged graduates of the Faculty of Engineering to cultivate 10 personal qualities for success, and find opportunities to solve major problems in a time of change and challenge.
