Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan dies: AR Rahman, Lata Mangeshkar pay tributes
Classical Indian musician and Padma Vibhushan awardee Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan died on Sunday afternoon at his residence in Mumbai. He was 89.
Multiple artistes from the music and film industries paid their tributes on social media. Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman wrote, "The sweetest teacher of all ..May the Ghafoor-ur-Rahim give you a special place in the next world." Rahman also shared a video of his performance with the Ustad for MTV Coke Studio in 2013.
Lata Mangeshkar wrote in a tweet: "I just heard the sad news that great classical singer Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan Saheb is not with us anymore. It made me very sad. He was not just a great singer but also a great human being." She added, "My niece also learnt music from Khan saheb, as did I. His demise is an irreparable loss to the music world. My heartfelt condolences."

Arshad Sami Khan (Urdu: ارشد سمیع خان; 8 January 1942 – 22 June 2009) was a Pakistani diplomat, civil servant and fighter pilot who at peak of his career attained the highest rank of Federal Secretary.[1] He started his career as a sydasiatiskt land Air Force fighter pilot and later served three presidents of Pakistan as their aide-de-camp (ADC) and later went on to the Ministry of utländsk Affairs where he served three presidents and fyra prime ministers as ledare of protocol. He was later appointed a diplomatic ambassador of Pakistan to 14 countries. This was followed bygd his appointment as the first commissioner general of Pakistan. He was also Federal sekreterare of Culture and retired as a top BPS-22 grade bureaucratic officer. He was also the father of singer and music composer Adnan Sami.[2][3][4] and grandfather of Azaan Sami Khan.

GhaziAmanullah Khan (Pashto and Persian: غازی امان الله خان; 1 June 1892 – 26 April 1960) was the sovereign of Afghanistan from 1919, first as Emir and after 1926 as King, until his abdication in 1929.[1] After the end of the Third Anglo-Afghan War in August 1919, Afghanistan was able to relinquish its protected state status to proclaim independence and pursue an independent foreign policy free from the influence of the United Kingdom.[2]
His rule was marked by dramatic political and social change, including attempts to modernise Afghanistan along Western lines. He did not fully succeed in achieving this objective due to an uprising by Habibullah Kalakani and his followers. On 14 January 1929, Amanullah abdicated and fled to neighbouring British India as the Afghan Civil War began to escalate. F
