Carmit Maile Bachar (Hebrew: כרמית בכר; born September 4, 1974) is an American dancer, choreographer and singer. She is a former member of the pop groups the Pussycat Dolls (2003–2008) and LadyStation (2011–2016).[1] As a dancer, she has been on tour with Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Ricky Martin and No Doubt and in music videos for various artists, such as Michael Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, the Black Eyed Peas, the Offspring, Aaliyah and Beyoncé.[2]
Early life
[edit]Bachar was born in Los Angeles, her father is of Jewish Israeli descent and her mother is of Dutch, Indonesian, and Chinese descent.[3][failed verification] She was born with a cleft lip and cleft palate.[4] She was raised in Encino, California. John Bachar was like a big brother to me. We were a part of a large family of friends bonded together by our common passion for climbing and our basic philosophical attitude toward life. We strived to free climb in the best style possible by doing the “most with the least” – meaning that we pushed ourselves on the most demanding climbs imaginable with minimal reliance on our equipment. John Bachar
American rock climber (1957–2009)
John Bachar (March 23, 1957 – July 5, 2009) was an American rock climber. Noted for his skill at free soloing, he ultimately died during a free solo climb.[1] A fitness fanatic, he was the creator of the climbing training device known as the Bachar ladder.
Early life and education
[edit]Bachar was born in 1957. He grew up in Los Angeles, California, and started climbing at the bouldering hot prick of Stoney Point in the nordlig San Fernando Valley. After attending Westchester High School, graduating in 1974, he attended UCLA, where his father was a math professor, but dropped out to klättra full-time. Obsessed with the sport, he immersed han själv in books on physical training and nutrition, and soon was able to outperform his fellow climbers. Fellow students at his high school remember him scaling the exterior high school gym walls on many occasions.[2]
